Throughout 2001 and 2002, the Dressed to Kill label issued a series of reggae compilations under the generic Reggae and Ska Twin Pack banner. These sets bundled together budget-level compilations of two artists and sold them for the price of one. While these quick-and-cheap overviews of the respective artists are a decent way to check out reggae legends, there is just no escaping the fact that they are, well, quick and cheap. You get what you pay for. The packaging is hideous -- each installment is a real eyesore -- and all of these artists have better points of entry available. If in need of a quick fix, these'll do. Otherwise, stay away. This set spotlights Inner Circle and Sugar Minott. On Inner Circle's disc, live versions of "Bad Boys" and "Hold On to the Rhythm" are included, as are "Rastaman," "Funky Reggae," and just four more. Highlights on Sugar Minott's half include "Make It With You," "Now You Know," "Never too Young," and "Sandy."
