AllMusic Review by

Roxy Music is well represented when it comes to live releases. Viva! is an excellent souvenir of the band's 1975 tour, Heart Still Beating documents the brilliant 1980 Avalon tour, while Concertodoes an excellent job providing an overview of the 1979 Manifesto "reunion" tour. Fans should own all of the previously listed CDs. For this two-CD package, NMC has repackaged two Roxy releases, Valentine and Vintage. The music was recorded between 1972 and 1975 for the German television shows Musikladen and Beat Club. The package also contains the video for the songs from the shows. Overall, it is a good package. The recording quality is a bit muddy but, considering its origin (mid-'70s television), it is pretty good. For some reason, "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall" begins in the middle but, other than that, the performances are complete. Because of the span of years, different lineups of the band are represented, which allows for some small comparisons between Roxy Music with and without Eno. Fans will enjoy this package; others may want to stick with the original releases.
