Rainforest Guitar doesn't make very much sense, since setting up a remote recording studio in the rain forest to capture a gently strummed acoustic guitar in harmonious glory with the sounds of nature would be inordinately difficult. The pervasive humidity would undoubtedly affect the guitar's tuning, and good luck finding an outlet. Nevertheless, this unlikely scenario is exactly what Rainforest Guitar wants listeners so badly to believe occurred. Over ten tracks, an acoustic guitar picks out plaintive instrumental melodies, accompanied only by the ambient din of a thousand chirping insects and the sound of rushing water. I challenge any listener to hold off using the restroom during the 40-minute duration of this album.
