AllMusic Review by

Four provocative soundpieces designed for radio broadcast: Kathy Kennedy's "Taking Steps" described as "an essay in gang culture and the pursuit of victims"; Christof Mignone's "Solar Plexus" built on amplified body sounds, tiny insignificant moments in several languages; Chantal Dumas' "Le spectacle des habile(i)tés (The Show of Abilities)" dedicated to "the adventures of Claude, Christian and Patrick, three fishermen, quietly rowing on a lake in northern Quebec...swallowed up by a sound illusion...in which reality comes to doubt itself"; and Dan Lander's "Room" ("It's always hard to reprimand somebody if there's nothin' on paper")...some guy singing in the shower...some hugely amplified fly...some guy scream-singing...some seagulls...some thing.
