With a more mainstream focus than their Just Can't Get Enough new wave series, Radio Daze: Pop Hits of the '80s, Vol. 2 collects singles like Ambrosia's "Biggest Part of Me," Bruce Cockburn's "Wondering Where the Lions Are," and Peaches & Herb's "I Pledge My Love to You." Soft rock and mellow soul abounds on this collection, which includes hits from both genres such as Photoglo's "We Were Meant to Be Lovers," Paul Davis' "Do Right," and Billy Preston & Syreeta's "With You I'm Born Again." Tommy James' "Three Times in Love," John Stewart's "Lost Her in the Sun," and Rupert Holmes' "Him" are more of the laid-back hits included here; the Brothers Johnson's disco-inflected "Stomp!" sounds positively hyperactive compared to the rest of the disc's languid selections, but overall Radio Daze, Pop Hits of the '80s, Vol. 2 is an enjoyable collection of early-'80s radio staples.
