AllMusic Review by

This could have been a great record, something that could have covered new ground in the indie-rock arena, something that could have redefined pop-punk in the San Francisco Bay Area. After all, J-Church features two of the main song writers from the legendary Cringer, so how bad could this be? In all honesty, Quetzalcoatl isn't really that disappointing, it's just that the overproduction of this record doesn't do these guys any justice. That, and a lot of these song are slow-moving and monotonous, so that when one of the better songs finally hits, the attention span is long gone.
