AllMusic Review by

Not everything on this two-disc, 48-track set is technically bluegrass -- some of it feels like a primer in various five-string banjo picking styles -- but it falls close enough to most people’s perception of the genre to satisfy, and includes the Stanley Brothers' “Little Maggie,” the Country Gentlemen's “High Lonesome,” Mike Seeger's “Cripple Creek,” Roger McGuinn's “Ramblin’ Banjo,” Eric Weissberg's “Feuding Banjos,” and Erik Darling's “Blue Grass Banjo.” There’s no Bill Monroe, though.
