AllMusic Review by

Pure Country: Best of '90s is a fine 15-track collection of country hits from the '90s. The album is divided between new traditionalists and country-pop songs, but the album manages to gel into a cohesive, entertaining listen. Among the highlights are Diamond Rio's "In a Week or Two," Vince Gills' "No Future in the Past," Tracy Byrd's "That's the Thing About a Memory," Marty Stuart's "Kiss Me, I'm Gone," Pam Tillis' "Shake the Sugar Tree," the Mavericks' "There Goes My Heart," Patty Loveless' "I'm That Kind of Girl," Mark Chesnutt's "I'll Think of Somehting," Lorrie Morgan's "Half Enough" and Mark Collie's "Hard Lovin' Woman."
