There's nothing too significant about this 7" other than being a sample single to the soundtrack of one of the worst David Spade films this side of Eight Heads in a Duffel Bag. Although it's neat that two completely different genres -- funk and grunge -- are found on each side, the concept is the most entertaining aspect of this single. Mudhoney -- who were never the same after their Piece of Cake album -- contribute an Elvis Costello cover, "Pump It Up," complete with a Hammond organ; catchy, but a blatant throwaway track. On the other hand, George Clinton funks it up as his roof-raising self with a Parliament-Funkadelic bestowal, "Stomp." But again, there's really no reason to buy this if both of these songs are already found on the PCU soundtrack. Not even the red vinyl could make this a collector's item.
