AllMusic Review by

New York City acid-jazz outfit Groove Collective proves that dance music is not created exclusively by DJs and studio wallflowers. Well known for the live configuration of their brand of improvised, groove-heavy funk, the group's skilled musicianship and vibrant energy have won audiences the world over. PS1 WARM-UP documents a live set from the famed Warm Up series at the Queens art museum PS1. Fusing vibrant horns and intricate percussion, this is dance music for the naysayers who criticize the genre's alleged lack of musicianship.
