AllMusic Review by

Private Lounge's fifth volume features a yellow couch against a backdrop of green grass and placid water. It doesn't begin very strong -- disc one's introductory cuts seem too suggestive of what's come before. However, Crazy Penis' "Change" is a lighthearted blend of swirling synths and slight contemporary R&B bump, while -- though it's a bit overworked -- Hattler's "Silent Surveyor" is still a pretty mid-album track. Tosca also adds some much needed grit into this Lounge with the slinky "Mango di Bango." That groove continues into disc two, where types like Dalminjo and Rest Area will get your the heart rate up without putting a hair out of place. Marc Ricci's "Exit" might do a bit more than that, with its adult movie samples and quirky, burbling rhythm track. By the time you get to the atmosphere of Neon Heights' "Jazz-Free Episode," it sounds like the whoosh of bridge stanchions out the window as the cab crosses the bridge toward home.
