AllMusic Review by

This collection from Florida-based new age imprint Alcione says it will produce a "spiritual journey with floating emotions" and "moments of contemplation." There's a chance you'll spend a moment contemplating its haphazard cover artwork, which looks assembled from the New Age Clip Art Workbook (nude woman in lotus, frilly font, ocean, ancient pillars of indistinct historical origin...). Other than that, it's not likely that Power of Yoga will help you float anywhere, as it's pretty musically vacant even for the relaxation/yoga set. Rushing wave sound effects drift in here and there, but for the most part this is the usual blend of contemplative synths and ethnic-flavored melodies, particularly on "Om Psychic Energy," where what might be a shakuhachi flute whispers over the splash of a gong. "Call of the Unknown" might be the strongest piece here, since it really embraces the nature noises, letting the rain forest ambience of grasshoppers and exotic birds overtake the subtle keyboard work.
