Coyote's Pop 60's is a short and breezy selection of 12 good-time oldies. The songs are all oldies radio staples; in fact the disc sounds like a good half-hour block of a great oldies station. Tracks like the Seekers' "Georgy Girl," Bruce Channel's "Hey! Baby," Jimmy Gilmer's "Sugar Shack," and Gene Chandler's "Duke of Earl" are about as feather-light as music can be. They are balanced by a few dramatic tunes like Lou Christie's amazing "Lightning Strikes," Roy Orbison's "Oh! Pretty Woman," and "Cathy's Clown" by the Everly Brothers. It is too bad the disc isn't longer, but for a low price it is a pretty decent compilation.
