AllMusic Review by

From the small print on the single-sheet insert inside the packaging of the 1999 On Stage edition of this CD, the Toronto Musical Revue consists of singer/guitarist Michael White (also credited for having "produced, engineered, mixed and digitally recorded" the album), Robbie Earl (credited with keyboards, bass, and programming), and Trish Zurbrigg (vocals). The disc presents their recordings of 16 songs that were featured on the original soundtrack from the movie Grease, including the ‘50s rock & roll hits "Hound Dog," "Blue Moon," and "Rock and Roll Is Here to Stay," along with songs written especially for the film ("Grease [Is the Word]," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," "Sandy," and "You're the One That I Want") and even some songs that actually were in the original stage production. White, Earl, and Zurbrigg try to copy the soundtrack recordings with the pallid results that might be expected.
