The 12-track Platinum & Gold Collection covers Alabama's commercially productive period spanning 1980 through 2000, including the hits "Mountain Music," "Down Home," "Jukebox in My Mind," and "Southern Star," as well as a few lesser-known singles and album cuts. While this is an affordable disc, the title is a bit misleading and leaves off too many classics to be definitive. Pick up the RCA double-disc For the Record instead.
