Little-known in England or America, this album was a French-language release by Clark that featured versions of "I Know a Place," "Downtown," and "Hello Dolly," as well as one German track, one Italian track, and one English song ("Now That You've Gone"). Clark is just as good singing in French as English -- "Gotta Tell the World" may actually be a better recording than "Donne-Moi Des Fleurs" -- and the presence of a half-dozen originals co-authored by her gives this album special appeal to her serious fans. Additionally, it extends Clark's catalog from her prime mid-'60s years, and that's not a bad thing regardless of which language she happens to be singing in. Reissued on CD in 2000.
