AllMusic Review by

This lovely compilation by concert harpist Georgia Kelly will introduce you to the full range of Kelly's talents, from her groundbreaking Seapeace of 1978 to the Yugoslavinspired Gardens of the Sun of 1993. Although Kelly could have claimed a career as a symphonic concert harpist, she made her mark as a spiritual composer as represented on her albums Seapeace, Tarashanti, Birds of Paradise, Winter Waltz, Harp & Soul, and "Fantasia" from A Journey Home. Her 1981 The Sound of Spirit is a choral work based on the text of the Rig Veda. Kelly has recorded an album of Western impressionist music (Fresh Impressions) but here, only "Greensleeves" from Winter Classics demonstrates her affinity for the Western musical style. Kelly's concern for her ancestral Yugoslavian homeland is represented by her 1988 A Journey Home, featuring master guitarist Dusan Bogdanovic, and Gardens of the Sun (1993). Also appearing on the compilation album are violinist Tony Selvage, flautist Richard Hardy, and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The music from the album spans nearly two decades, but that special Kelly touch is evident from beginning to end.
