African safari house music finds the rare energy of mainland trance in Yoji Biomehanika's kinetic "Peace Out" release. Although many of his supporters in native Japan were quick to describe him as a nu NRG DJ, here Biomehanika basically produces a branch of British hard house that brings its drum rolls closer to a breakbeat and utilizes a more global range of sounds than most. The original Bionico version, previously released in 1998, is too slow, DJ Choci's too fast, and Biomehanika's own "21st Century Fox" mix is just right.
