Ann Arbor, Michigan rrriot gurl Wendy Case stirs it up in a mighty big way on this, her group's first full length platter. Stylistically, Ten High bridges the gap between the garage band feel of the 60s (the Farfisa organ is a particularly nice touch) and latter day punk rock energy and never lets up for a second. Case's rhythm guitar playing is as bold, nasty and assertive as her gruff lead vocals and her blunt edge songwriting and all contribute mightily to the sound on this disc. If your musical palette has room for a head on stylistic collision of Question Mark & the Mysterians, the Stooges and the Shangri-Las, this may just the record you've been looking for.
