Impulse ambled onto the Berlin-based Studio !K7 imprint after only a pair of singles for the more obscure Dodge label. Collectors of those early singles will not be pleased to learn there are only three new tracks on offer here (although including the best moments of those earlier twelves makes this a boon for latecomers). The new material is excellent, however, a thicker, funkier, more well-oiled take on the bright, economical nu-school of their earlier releases. The CD version adds two additional tracks (both previously released), as well as a number of short, ambient-ish interludes alluding (like the album's title) to train arrivals and departures.
