Susan Anton is known primarily as an actress in theatrical and TV movies, as well as fitness videos. She is also a singer, and recorded One Night in a Los Angeles club on November 4, 2000. As music albums by performers known mostly for their acting go, this is more credible than most. Anton presents mildly gutsy, competent roots rock, including songs by Willie Dixon, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, the Beatles, David Porter and Isaac Hayes, Beth Neilsen Chapman, and more obscure writers like Brendan Croker. It's no more than average opening act or bar band rock, though, even if it's heartfelt and pretty versatile.
