AllMusic Review by

Another LP primarily for Charlie Parker fanatics, this live performance finds Bird playing with some top Chicago musicians (the obscure Claude McLin on tenor, guitarist George Freeman, pianist Chris Anderson, bassist Leroy Jackson and drummer Bruz Freeman). Most of the selections are not quite complete although they offer a rare chance to hear Bird play songs not in his repertoire (including "There's a Small Hotel," "These Foolish Things" and "Keen and Peachy") but the recording quality is much worse than one would hope. It's interesting music but not really worth hearing more than once or twice.
