The split disc between One Last Thing and Crosstide works as a sampler for two of Portland's biggest local bands. Shaping the kind of emo rock that tends to spring up a lot in the underground, both bands sound a lot like vintage Sunny Day Real Estate with an At the Drive-In twist. Although the music is not wildly original, this will appeal to genre fans and is inexpensive enough for curious listeners to take a chance on.
