Starbucks understands the cultural need to combine a little bit of down time in the day with music, and the company's entertainment arm has been providing CD albums and themed CD playlists to Starbucks coffee customers for a while now, essentially establishing a new kind of record distribution system in the process. Some of those releases have been pretty delightful, like this generous 18-track playlist packed with wall-to-wall vocal classics, including Ray Charles’ “Georgia on My Mind,” Nat King Cole’s “It’s Only a Paper Moon,” Billie Holiday’s “I Get a Kick Out of You,” and Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington’s “It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing).” You can’t go wrong with anything that’s included here, coffee or no coffee.
