AllMusic Review by

A jam session feel pervades this set. Pianist Eddie Higgins is matched with no less than three trumpeters (Pete Minger, who often takes honors, John Swan and Bill Prince, who doubles on tenor) plus bassist Lew Berryman, drummer Red Hawley and Nancy Weckwerth, who plays French horn on "Stockholm Sweetnin'." Minger's work on his ballad feature "Once In a While," which contrasts with the heated "Oleo," is a high point of this long-out-of-print, boppish LP.
