As seminal as jazzman as Louis Armstrong has always been, it is best to find a collection of his early recordings, specific bands, or works alongside his peers to hear what he is really all about. No compilations ever do him justice, especially a CD weighing in at approximately 40 minutes. Consumers who are either new to Pops or those who know their stuff will be best served to find almost anything else than this sliver of Satchmo.
