AllMusic Review by

This enjoyable LP has two radio broadcasts from Bob Crosby's 1940 big band, an ensemble that includes trumpeter Billy Butterfield, trombonist Warren Smith, clarinetist Irving Fazola, Eddie Miller on tenor, and pianist Jess Stacy. Bob Crosby's five vocals (Marion Mann has four) are better than usual, and the hot instrumentals include "Complainin'," "In the Mood" (much different than Glenn Miller's version), "Wolverine Blues," an incomplete version of "Jazz Me Blues" from the Bobcats, and "Sugar Foot Stomp."
