Pete Rodriguez' second LP on Alegre also came out in 1967, and the edge is definitely blunted from the pianist's debut. The playing is solid and pretty fiery, but the songwriting isn't as strong; there are a few more instrumentals, and the group vocals aren't quite up to the level of I Like It Like That. Though they sound OK (both have some great trumpet lines), the title track and "Asi Asi" are nearly indistinguishable from the constantly heard boogaloo formula. The stinging brass on "Que Mania" makes it an album highlight.
