Fug, Pablo, Cultural Mambo, and Fuzz Against Junk help make up Nuphonic, Vol. 3. The label's signature sound, a pleasantly experimental take on house music, is once again captured reasonably well. Particularly strong cuts are Femi Kuti's sunny Latin disco number, "Beng Beng Beng" (remixed by Ashley Beedle), Block 16's stompy, retro-flavored "Electrokution," and Groove Armada's crowd-pleasing take on Natural Calamity's slightly nervy "And That's Saying a Lot." The two debut tracks from Fenomenon and Ladyvipb also make this one of the label's better calling cards.
