Number 1's: '80s Soul, like the other discs in Universal's extensive Number 1's series, comes in a nice-looking package that is nonetheless assembled with cheap, flimsy (and, to be fair, biodegradable) materials. If you own a bunch of the discs and attempt to stick them on a shelf, they'll inevitably fall over and slide all over the place. As for the content of the disc, there are 16 number one singles released during the '80s, and they clock in at 75 minutes, so Universal certainly didn't skimp on that front. The highlights include Yarbrough & Peoples' "Don't Stop the Music," Oran "Juice" Jones' "The Rain," René & Angela's "Save Your Love (For #1)," Cameo's "She's Strange," and Jennifer Holiday's "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going."
