AllMusic Review by

In those strange, sweaty moments after an all-night festival -- when you're legging it through massive parking lots in soiled T-shirt and rictus grin, looking for a ride home and feeling that you'd rather come down on the top of a car rather than chill-out in a bedroom -- it's fair odds that you'll be ripping up random upholstery for somebody, anybody, that has a beaten copy of Nu-Progressive Era. A decidedly non-Hooj Hooj Choons release, it's a post-breakout slow-motion shuffle through meditative dub, sensuous house, and flourishing, teary trance that can throw out Datar's evocative "B" or the unstoppable, incomparable Deep Dish remix of Sven Vath's "My Name Is Barbarella" without furrowing a single brow. Classy.
