AllMusic Review by

Jazztronik's 2005 release Nu Balance comes on the heels of the international success of his Samurai album. With new fans (primarily in Europe, but additionally in clubs elsewhere), Ryota Nozaki took to the piano to create a new set of sounds. On Nu Balance, the sound is somewhat more on the side of contemporary jazz (anchored by the piano) than on dance music, but there is still plenty of "nu jazz" to be had. Dance vocals are laid on top of "Feel the Air" to satisfy fans with dance club leanings, and touches of soul creep into later tracks. The star this time around is Jazztronik and his keys, though.
