Billy Mitchell's first album in 13 years is decent, but not all that special. The live set features Mitchell on tenor, soprano and alto performing a pair of lengthy blues and two fairly basic originals. He is joined by guitarist Roland Prince, pianist Wes Belcamp, bassist Earl May and either Ron Turso or Al Beldini on drums. An unidentified trumpeter (no great thrill) sits in on "Now's the Time." Mitchell sounds fine, but nothing that special occurs on this long-out-of-print LP.
