No More Doggin' Review

by Bill Dahl

While he rightfully earned his share of renown on the Chicago soul scene of the 1960s as a writer/producer/singer/sideman, guitarist McCall has re-invented himself as a bluesman in recent years. This 1983 outing blends both genres on a predominantly original set (the lone cover is an update of Rosco Gordon's "No More Doggin'").
