AllMusic Review by

The kitsch enthusiast or novelty seeker might get a kick out of Percy Faith's New Thing. Known primarily as a conductor and arranger of easy listening, orchestral versions of contemporary songs, his recordings during the early '70s as Percy Faith and His Orchestra included recordings of film soundtrack hits and some pop hits. This 1974 collection includes songs by Chuck Mangione and from They Way We Were and Serpico. This easy listening album has a below-average track listing. A dull artifact of the early '70s that will excite few neo-lounge collectors.
