The dozen selections on this excellent Pete Fountain LP are taken from several different sessions although the music had not been released previously. Fountain, who must have been starting to run out of songs to record by 1963 (since he cut so many albums for Coral during the early-to-middle '60s), swings such material as "Creole Love Call," "Brahms' Lullaby," Rod McKuen's "Midnight Pete" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic" along with a variety of swing and Dixieland standards. The music is enjoyable as is true of all of Pete Fountain's performances from this era, his prime period. Unfortunately none of Fountain's Coral recordings have surfaced on CD yet.
