New Age Christmas, Vol. 3 is another in the endless supply of Christmas new age albums littering the stores. Like so many others, this album is a keyboard-only affair that relies heavily on the lush, drawn out notes provided by the machine. Without all the reverb and sound effects, the basic structure of the album comes down to one thing: Christmas songs played really slowly. There is nothing exciting or fulfilling about these tracks; instead they are mere shells of the original padded with the soft sounds of the keyboards. New age does not have to be boring, and there is no excuse for the incredibly dull music being made here. Fans of the genre might enjoy this, but probably not.
