Nature's Symphony: The Wind in the Leaves on the Park South label proudly declares "The Sounds of Nature Enhanced with Symphonic Orchestra Music." This is an idea that is not explored often given today's fast cultural pace -- the idea that human beings and the sounds humans make are not separate from nature, but part of nature. However, the audacity forever associated with the human condition comes across in the mentioned claim that humans don't just participate in nature, but enhance the sound of nature. Unfortunately, this is untrue on this recording. While each setting on its own would be relaxing and meditative, the clash between the orchestra and the natural sounds of water, birds, and wind is a bit unsettling.
