AllMusic Review by

Long a rave scene favorite for his genre-crossing style, Dave Ralph cemented his reputation as one of the world's hottest DJs with his appearance on the 2001 Mekka Tour, which found him sharing the stage with techno titans like Roni Size, BT, Danny Tenaglia, and Armand Van Helden. This two-disc mix CD attempts to capture the feel of Ralph's live set, with 25 tracks (including two original cuts by the artist) that flow seamlessly from one into the next. Of course, there's a fine line between trance-like repetition and snooze-inducing redundancy, but it's a line Naturalized treads relatively well, only occasionally crossing over into the realm of boredom. Then again, these tracks by artists like Laurent Garnier, Junkie XL and Fatboy Slim were tailored to dancefloor audiences, and while the album might work to get bodies moving at your next party, headphone listening fails to reveal any big surprises.
