Despite the Swedish title (which is the name of a comedy variety show over there), this is a solid collection of what is subtitled as "rhythm & blues blasters." As all of these songs get played as background music on the show, the tunes are a combination of old and newer recordings, all solidly in the boozin' and cruisin' format. Of the new ones, included are the Leroi Brothers doing Buck Owens' (Corky Jones) "Rhythm & Booze," piano man G.M. Hooker tackling Amos Milburn's "Bad Bad Whiskey," Ted and the Talltops contributing "Double Shot," the New Rotics doing the Tex Williams favorite "Smoke, Smoke, Smoke," and Cub Koda's take on Morris Pejoe's "Let's Get High." A small smattering of Cajun style shows up on Aldus Roger's monochord version of "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" and Johnnie Allan's "Let's Go Get Drunk." But the R&B classics are the meat and potatoes of this collection, and the inclusion of Screamin' Jay Hawkins ("Baptize Me In Wine"), Peppermint Harris ("I Got Loaded"), Willis "Gator Tail" Jackson and the Four Gators ("Wine-O-Wine"), Stick McGhee ("Drinkin' Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee"), Tommy Tucker ("Drunk"), Billy Love ("Juiced"), Papa Lightfoot ("Wine, Women, Whiskey") and J.B. Lenoir ("Give Me One More Shot") make this one top-flight single-subject compilation. Closing things are two tracks with European (Swedish?) vocals, Anita Lindbloom's "Cigarettes, Cigarettes" and Simon Brehm's "Dunder och snus."
