Many think of early Underground Resistance records as being raw, hard, and abrasive, but the Nation 2 Nation record stands out as a drastic exception. An etching on the inner-groove of the record blatantly reads "UR Jazz," and one cannot deny that this is, indeed, an attempt at blending jazz with techno. In sum, it's an ambitious record that, unfortunately, simply isn't that appealing; the blend of sax, piano, 303-acid riffs, synth solos, female vocals, and drum machine percussion just doesn't blend that well. Underground Resistance put out two other records in this series of techno jazz attempts -- World 2 World and Galaxy 2 Galaxy -- both of which are vast improvements on this noble concept.
