This collaboration between seemingly disparate artists works remarkably well. Paul Cypress' guitar technique encompasses far more than conventional contemporary flamenco sounds, while Manose Singh's bansuri flute is clear and soothing, blending perfectly with the guitar and percussion elements on the album. Though both players get equal billing on the album cover, Cypress carries the album, with his evocative and passionate style, heavy on the staccato. Singh's flute is most prominent on the mystical "Prayer Flags," which is all warm tones and sighs, yearning and peaceful at the same time. "Rising Sun Morning Moon" is also a great showcase for Singh, especially in its opening, which features some nice tabla work before breaking into a duet with Cypress. Other album highlights include "Leah's Love, "My Beautiful Gypsy" and "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying."
