White Plains was one of a multitude of studio projects based around the sugary-sweet vocals of British session vocalist Tony Burrows. Burrows managed to score hits under a variety of monikers including Edison Lighthouse, the Pipkins, Brotherhood of Man, and others, and bubblegum group White Plains climbed the charts with the 1970 single "My Baby Loves Lovin'." This collection shares a name with that best-known single, and includes 24 tracks the band made in its brief run during the early '70s, including uptempo sunshine pop numbers like "I've Got You on My Mind" and later bids for singles like the swaggering, slightly country-tinged bounce of "Julie Do Ya Love Me."
