Another gap-filler, this four-song platter pulled a quartet of tracks off the Please Please Me album, including the Beatles' best original rock & roll number to date, "I Saw Her Standing There," and "Misery," a great early Lennon-McCartney ballad that Capitol Records in the U.S. would ignore, except as a B-side, until 20-some years later. The repackaging, which included the artwork, would give fans who'd not already bought the LP something to buy in the weeks before "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and With the Beatles made their debut in the final week of November.
