AllMusic Review by

Distilled down from two days of performances in Dallas during 2004 to benefit the Crossroads Center substance abuse treatment facility, this double-DVD set was something of a landmark in its time, catching Eric Clapton himself on something of an upswing and a fair number of contemporary (or older) performers. And it's got a little bit of beguiling idealism at work as well, with the opening of the second disc given over to Vishwa Mohan Bhatt -- for a second, it was like being at Monterey in June of 1967. The list of luminaries includes Robert Randolph, John Mayer, B.B. King, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, Hubert Sumlin, Buddy Guy, James Taylor, Joe Walsh, J.J. Cale, Vince Gill, David "Honeyboy" Edwards, Carlos Santana, Robert Lockwood, Jr., Larry Carlton, and ZZ Top. The sound is good and loud, and the image (letterboxed to 1.85-to-1) is crisp and sharp. The bonus features allow one to dial up guitar solos at the touch of a button, and include extended interviews with some of the participants.
