AllMusic Review by

This continually-mixed set recounts some of the musical highlights of Fashion Week 2003. As it's a promotional item, the disc lists which show used what -- the better to recall the week's glittery great memories, evidently. Musically, the set permeates with the arrogant detachment common to couture. Ginger Ale's "Happy House" and Vive La Fete's "Nuit Blanche" are harsh jumbles of cold beats and monotone, multilingual vocal samples -- they're as uninviting as a pair of 45-inch stiletto heels. A DFA mix of Le Tigre's "Deceptacon" fares better with its throbbing bassline and bratty Kathleen Hannah lead, and the explosive cockstrut of the Electric 6's "Danger! High Voltage!" was seemingly lab-constructed for a runway workout. Likewise, Black Strobe's "Me & Madonna" is sleazy, pulsating fun, and an oddly functional bedfellow for the trippy post Brit-pop of Johnny Marr & the Healers' "Bangin' On." Recommended music for your next walk-off.
