This set of solo piano was recorded by Connie Crothers privately over a three-year period. Although a few standards are included along the way (including "Lover Man," "Star Eyes" and "How High The Moon", the music is freely improvised and mostly quite dissonant. Crothers, who swings in other contexts, in this case emphasizes emotions over keeping a steady beat, intensity over lyricism. The music is quite intriguing to hear and gives listeners a different side of Connie Crothers than usual.
