Murray The K, a popular New York disk jockey, promoted legendary concerts at the Brooklyn Fox Theater. Here, Murray compiled tunes from a diversity of artists and stuck his name on the cover. The folk sounds of cute Janis Ian's "Society Child," and "Younger Generation Blues," track alongside Vanilla Fudge's "You Keep Me Hanging On," and Joe Tex's country/soul represented by "Hold On To What You Got," and a remake of Marv Johnson's "You Got What It Takes." Can you ever get enough of Deon Jackson's floating "Love Makes The World Go Round," or the Royalettes' heartfelt "It's Gonna Take A Miracle?" Some blue-eye soul from the Rascals "I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart," a tough girl sound from the Shangri-las, and numbers from the Blues Project, and the Bee Gees help make this an enjoyable 12-song smorgasbord.
