AllMusic Review by

Named after Sophie Ellis-Bextor's U.K. pop hit of the same name, Murder on the Dancefloor is a double-disc compilation of mostly 2002-released dance singles that were popular in the U.K. Thanks to its narrow focus, it's ideal for those who didn't have the resources to pick up each single as it was released, and it also works well as a snapshot of a specific time. Featured here: Lasgo's "Something," Hear'Say's "Everybody," Puretone's "Addicted to Bass," Mis-Teeq's "One Night Stand," So Solid Crew's "Haters," Daniel Bedingfield's "Gotta Get Thru This," Basement Jaxx's "Where's Your Head At," Christina Milian's "AM to PM," and Ja Rule and Ashanti's "Always on Time." It may not be thorough, but there's only so much you can put on two discs.
