AllMusic Review by

Recorded in the historic Brazilian town of Ouro Preto on July 7 and 8, 2001, MTV Ao Vivo became the first live album by Skank, one of the most popular local bands. In front of 30,000 fans the pop/rock ensemble celebrated their tenth anniversary, playing their first smash, "Garota Nacional," along with major hits such as "Jackie Tequila," "Saideira," and "Te Ver." In addition, MTV Ao Vivo includes "Estare Prendido en Tus Dedos," the Spanish version of the Police's "Wrapped Around Your Finger," and a previously unreleased song called "Acima Do Sol." Comprising 17 songs, mostly reggae and Latin ska, this record goes through Skank's first active decade, bringing back their best.
